troop park slope...

today i am grateful for...

zuzu's petals
fresh flowers from zuzu's petals. right now they have lisianthus, anemones, ranunculus, and insanely fragrant roses, to name a few. i am fixin' to swap out my dried leaves, branches and cotton for blooming buds again. it is an instant mood brightener and makes the apartment smell less musty.

pantry beauty regime
mixing up lotions and potions with ingredients from my pantry. i have resolved to take better care of my hands and feet, and simple, at home recipes make it too easy to stick to (so far). brown sugar, eggs, honey, olive oil, lavender oil, coffee, and epsom salts. honestly, ridiculously easy. and pretty cheap to boot!

girl scout handbook

scouting for girls

wild flower symbol
this girl scout book i found at my local bookstore for $5. i have a few of these handbooks (my mom was a leader for all three branch sisters' troops). i wish i was a better scout like my sweet haylie bird. i think i will read this on the subway and try and pick up a few tricks. "on my honor, i will try..."

i'm really grateful we moved to park slope. it feels like time slows down a little from the hustle and bustle of the city. and i dig it.

good to know your having luck with the homemade lotions. one of my goals this year is to try making homemade lotion, lip balm, deodorant, and so on.
