That's just the most lovely Valentine present I heard of in such a long time. What a way to melt his heart :)
Seriously... the... cutest... valentine's... gift... ever...
wow i think we really are soul mates - i have that same shelf! i got mine at this amazing little shop in carroll gardens, its down on court street past prime meats.. can't think of the name and can't find it on google.. anyway, looking forward to coffee as well! i'm going to practice my letters tonight & line more paper :)
KAWAII!!!
FROM TOKYO WITH LOVE!
1. The trolley!!! I went to the Flea on Sunday for a quick look around, but was seriously overwhelmed. I think I saw the booth you got this from, but I need to just email the lady and see if she does appointments...
2. How cute are you?? This is the sweetest Valentine's Day gift I've ever heard of. I haven't even begun mine yet, eep!
3. Ugh, I just love men's long-sleeve shirts. I seriously get all aflutter when I see racks of them.
i embroider a little heart onto every piece of clothing i give to my boyfriend. he refuses to get rid of an old backpack i gave him ages ago just because of the little heart on it. he told me, "but i can't sell it! then someone else will have your heart!"
ummmmm, that might be the cutest thing i have ever heard! his response is perfect! i don't even think my husband would be that dear and sentimental!
Oh i just love the stitching of the shirts!!! That is just as sweet as can be....Borrowing idea with full intent to credit!! BisousBisous
What a super sweet idea. Please, do tell us what his reaction was when he saw it, after valentine's!
a really really sweet idea

How do you embroider that? I would love to try!
i just wrote in ink on the inside of his breast pocket, and filled in with embroidery thread. the hardest part is hiding the knot, since you don't want it to show through on the front. i just threaded over the knot.
This is such a sweet valentine's day present! The most affectionate gifts don't come with price tags :)
this is such a wonderful and thoughtful project you are doing. you really know how to make the most out of simple yet meaningful gestures. thanks for making my day!
You. Are. A. Genius.
That's so sweet! Silly question, but does he know?
Could you possibly give a more detailed description of how to do this? I've never embroidered before, and I'm confused by the internet how-tos I've found. It is such a great idea. I wish I could do it...
You had me at the trolley (which is so cute) - the embroidery is over the top adorable and the most charming sentimental Valentine's Day present I've seen in years!!
Ginny...that's so sweet. I have that same shelf, I organized my linens on it :) Ed is so spoiled...do you give love lessons?
