the only more exciting thing than finding a perfectly shiny, 1920s party frock at the brooklyn flea... having a hot date to wear it for. eddie is taking me to see crazy heart tonight. i'm pretty sure it will blow the last movie we saw, out of the water.

wow. that is simply breathtaking. you have the best vintage-hunting luck!
oh gosh, i'm filled with envy! it's BEAUTIFUL! I hope we get to see you all dressed up in it? :D
Am-Maz-Ing! Can we have a gussied up date soon?!
Gorgeous dress! Love having reasons to get dressed up too, am currently ready for tonights trip to see A Single Man in my purple heels (in a non-heel wearing office). Hope you enjoy Crazy Heart :-)
Oh my goodness! That's the most beautiful dress I've seen since.. forever! I love that it's gone to somebody who'll wear it too, I bet you looked wonderful.
wow so pretty!
That dress is pretty enough to get married in! You must have cut quite a figure at the movies!
that almost looks too beautiful to wear.
(almost)
i just thought of a film you might like called 'love and savagery.' it's a small independent canadian-irish film set in the 1960s, and because of its small budget it only played on four screens across the country. i doubt you'll be able to find it in a cinema, but it's worth renting once it comes out on dvd.
it's full of moody cliffs and crashing waves and wools and tweeds and star-crossed lovers and all manner of nice things.

oh wow, i would be too afraid to wear it! how detailed and amazing.
luckily it's not too precious. the sewing holds up really well, and only some sequins fall off here and there. which i like more anyway!
That dress is simply stunning. (I do love the words 'party frock.') What a great score! I sure miss big city flea markets - or any flea markets! :)
wow thats amazing! such a find! post some photos of you wearing it!! love xxx
Lovely! That dress just sparkles and SCREAMS happiness!
oh my gosh WHAT A GREAT FIND!! I keep meaning to go back to the Brooklyn Flea Market but I always end up sleeping in too late!!
