this photo was forwarded to me by the lovely dana gluck. here is a quote about the photo. "we are a group of young obama supporters who have produced the attached photograph as part of our effort to encourage youth participation in the upcoming election. the photo, taken by casey brooks, a brooklyn photographer, was inspired by the famous protest poster of joan baez and her sisters from the 1960s taken by larry gates (also attached).

i am proud to have voted for this man. and i am proud of all the young folks who are banding together to make a change. grey skies are going to clear up...

Oh I love this poster. Yay Obama!
Ginny!
can I just say today is a blessed day because I found your blog.
It was through the supermelon! ( Such a wonderful, wonderful interview )
The passion that you possess not only towards fashion-art-culture, but your passion towards people is what caught me.
I feel EXACTLY the same way you do, and truthfully try to spread love each and everyday to each person that I cross paths with.
I truly feel that if you are passionate, follow your heart and are your true authentic self then you will be filled with blessings and joy.
Your gratitudes have to be the most beautiful things ever.
I love how you speak the truth and touch everyone around you with your golden heart.
I just wanted to say what a beautiful blog this is and that you are truly touching peoples hearts ( ah. hopefully this doesn't sound creepy ( I promise you I'm not:) ) as I don't know you, but I went through heaps of your archives and through each word you shared your heart and exuded pure inspiration. )
I am adding you to my blog right now!!!
I hope you're having a wonderful week.
Lisa.

Thank you for posting this! I had to steal it and post it on Facebook and Myspace. Priceless it is. Goooooooooooo Obama!
i know! i want this on a t shirt!
Everyone should donate a little to the Obama campaign-- it's made up of mostly small donors! Even 25 dollars makes a big difference!
ginny, i've loved reading your blog for so long now and have never posted! i'm sorry, i have always meant to tell you how much i adore you-- your style, your kindness... and you are so fancy! i loved the obama pin you sported by your small artist friend-- and this post can only inspire so many more people. jessica.
ha, hilarious! that poster is so rad.
I also added this to the top of my blog at http://www.PrettyLittleWorldFashion.blogspot.com
