add to the menagerie...
i have fallen in love with another female artist. her name is sonja ahlers. she is a multi-media artist. she knits sweet little fuzzy bunnies and makes the most inspiring collaged sketch books. her website is called makeitawesome.com and she does. i would like to meet her one day.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, you have just saved my brain cells a considerable amount of anguish! As insane or twilight zone-ish as it might sound, I had come across her book Temper, Temper at Powell's Books while visiting Portland almost a decade ago and at one point I probably wrote her name down but have since lost it and then just the other day I was thinking about graphic novels and the vague distant memory of that book popped into my mind (minus author or title) and now, voilà, you have conjured it up for me! :)

wow, that was a great one! i just spent a while perusing her blog. i love that she loves madonna and some other great women heroes, and that she talks about how courtney love "let her down" etc. when i got to the desperately seeking susan shoe post i almost fell out of my chair. thanks for posting about her!
