cherry-o...

today i am grateful for...

BBG 2

taking a detour from my spring cleaning to actually enjoy spring!! i dragged eddie out of our apartment for a little brooklyn botanic garden adventure. i must admit, i was a little too eager and still haven't adjusted to new york's spring schedule... meaning the garden was still a little sleepy, with flowers hiding beneath the soil.

daffodils

but we sniffed out the blooms. daffodils and some cherry blossoms were sprinkled throughout the garden grounds.

oh the cherry blossoms, my favorite mid-atlantic treat! i can't wait for the explosion all over new york.

i had a dandy time just soaking up some sun and fresh air! and it was fun playing around with some cameras from my collection. i have yet to develop my pentax k1000, and i can't wait to see how they turn out. i love surprises! and i am loving these longer days and warmer air. yum.

Ginny, you're such a stunner! I love that picture of you. And oh the cherry blossoms!! Jon and I are taking engagement pics with our photographers in a couple weeks and I'm hoping the cherry blossoms and redbud will be out in full force for the photos :)

those first photos are marvelous!

and i've never seen a real cherry blossom tree - i was just telling my friends today that i'm dying to see a real one in bloom someday.

and and i agree with the above comment - you look just like anne shirley with your red (auburn?) hair and boater hat! sooo lovely!

awwww, thanks y'all! i wish i looked like miss ann shirley- so sweet! i am hating the growing out phase of short hair, so thanks for making me feel better about it!

miss faux naif- you have got to visit nyc in the spring! late march is when the city tends to explode pink and white!
