for all you august birthday babies, i apologize in advance... but august is just not my favorite month. in fact, we're not even friends. i'm just trying to survive this blistering heat by making homemade ice cream and other funny things. i've also been practicing friendship bracelet and sailor knot techniques. yep, the heat has officially turned my brain to mush. i'm basically counting down the days til late october, when fall truly happens in georgia. how are y'all surviving? is anyone else ready for fall, or at least a break in this heat?

yup, I'm right there with ya. I've started dreaming about fall foods, apple picking, sweaters, Halloween, and those types of things just to distract myself from this gross heat.

Yes! I was just daydreaming of fall this morning. I'm in Florida and I'm just thankful that we've already knocked out July and on our way to being half done with August. Whew!

yes! I also have a slight disdain for august and am quite excited for september. October and November are some of my favorite months in ATL! But I will accept any sort of reprieve from the heat at this point. I was considering having a party in a couple weeks but decided I would wait until after August because it's too damn hot!
this heat has got to G-O. GO GO GO. i am coming up with a cheer about it. HECK NO, PLEASE G-O GO!!
when it comes to surviving to the heat, there's nothing better than air conditioning.
That, or spend the whole day in a swimming pool.
I can't wait for fall to come, neither!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who dislikes August. Actually "dislike" is too mild a word - "hate with the heat of 1000 suns" is more apt. Columbia, SC is where I am and I literally have a countdown to fall going, like I do this time every year. It's what I'm living for.
