my original plan was to be silk spectre from the watchment. but that plan got ditched so my last ditch costume for a party tonight was 50s housewife. have fun for your halloween!

I am going as that wierd creature that Elliot goes to Hallowe'en as in E.T. I can't really tell what it is meant to be just a grey creature with red eyes

i was lydia deetz last year, so i wanted to continue the pale, dark-haired tim burton tradition and be edward scissorhands, but i didn't have time to shop so i whipped out a last-minute pippi.

what does it say about a 23-year-old when she can pull a full pippi longstocking costume out of her own closet (including the wire hanger for braids) within five minutes? shoot, i could've found a week's worth of pippi outfits in there!

ooh that sounds lovely! have lots of fun! i'm dressing up as a flapper - funny story, actually. yesterday i was talking with a kid at the bookstore where i work, trying to explain to him what a flapper was. when he left, an adorable old man came up to buy a book, and right before he left, he shyly murmured "you know, my mother was a flapper. that sounds like a nice costume." it was so great.

I am going as a roller derby girl - I dressed up yesterday for work and it was fun, even though I about froze! I don't usually walk around with green streaks in my hair or tattoos, so it's fun to pretend. :) I also got to go watch my first roller derby match last night which was a blast!
