as promised...

today i am grateful for...

fans

brushes

garden

enamelware

toys

erasers

nutmeg

visiting brook farm general store with my sweet husband. it is such a lovely store run by an equally lovely couple. their mini beagle mascot/ greeter, nutmeg, made our hearts melt in a puddle on the floor. i could have spent an entire paycheck in there, easily, but modestly walked away with some white latte bowls and vintage spoons. i batted my eyelashes at my husband over the mattress ticking duvet cover... to nooooo avail. and i had to back away from their collection of vintage enamelware, porcelain egg cups, and antique glass water coolers. afterwards we peeped marlow and sons for a coffee and some farm apples. it was a perfect day off.

I'm sorry, but you've killed me with that last photo. It's okay, I had a good life! And I'm glad that the last thing I saw was the cutest wee pup in the whole world.

This store looks like a dream! Vintage fans, terrariums, French school supplies... How did you ever leave??

PS: I finally went to Provini the other night, and I give it two big thumbs up! Can I coax you out sometime? Don't I owe you a drink?

Get out of here!! I went to Double Windsor Saturday night and in fact had the mulled apple cider!! It was so delicious and cozy, it actually made me wish that the weather was worse outside!

We are ticking stripe duvet cover brain twins! llbean.com has them for much less- the queen was $99. Mine just came today at work and I can't wait to go home, put it on and spend the rest of the evening snuggled under the covers reading a book!

oh gosh, that place looks fantastic! all of those old school supplies remind me of my grandmother's attic - i would pull old pink erasers out of there and bring them to school while all of my friends had gruesome neon rubber things.
